O.C.K restaurant

We had a half day today at school because of open evening tonight. So, my auntie, mum and I decided that we'd go for lunch at the cafe at the end of Southend Pier, (where Channel 4 filmed Jamie and Jimmy's Friday Night Feast), however sadly it was a tad too cold and blustery for that. Instead, we decided to make an impromptu visit to O.C.K (Oyster Creek Kitchen), a new restaurant along Southend seafront, and it was fabulous! Therefore, I thought I'd share my photos of my new favourite restaurant in Southend-on-Sea just to make everyone a little jealous.....

Would you believe this historic building used to house just benches and toilets?!

I absolutely love the tiling on the front of the bar - and just look at that ham!

The view of the seafront from inside, ruined slightly by the feature of a highway maintenance van...

But now for the best part, the food! As suggested by the name, O.C.K serves the best seafood. We had the Trawler Board (mixed seafood), Black Ink Tagliolini, Fritto Misto di Mare (deep fried market seafood with lemon zest aioli) and thrice cooked chips just for good measure. Everything was so delicious, so unfortunately I didn't have room for dessert.... But I guess there's always next time!
